Dortmund 1-5 Munich: Bayern Blasting

The match could hardly have started better for Dortmund, who took an early lead following a Mats Hummels header. Well organized and keeping the gap small between midfield and defence, Dortmund neutralised Bayern's attack for much of the first half.

In the 34th minute, Bayern managed a shock equalizer from Mario Gomez after Neven Subotic failed to clear a free kick.

In the second half, it was all Bayern as a flurry of offensive forays tore apart the Dortmund defence. Goals from Bastian Schweinsteiger (49), Franck Ribery (65), and a late brace from Thomas Mueller (78 and 88) capped off a 5-1 victory for the Bavarian giants.
