Manchester City 3-3 Burnley: Another disappointment

It was another frustrating match for Manchester City in the English Premier League as they were held to a fifth consecutive draw, finishing 3-3 with Burnley and slipping out of the top four as a result.

The big-spending northern club fought back from a two goal deficit to lead Burnley 3-2, but a late strike by Kevin McDonald secured the draw and gave Burnley their first away point.

"It is frustrating and disappointing because we got ourselves into a winning position,'' City manager Mark Hughes said.

"We have to learn to see games out because we have drawn two games at home from winning positions.

"We are 11 games into the season and we have done OK, no more, no less.

"There are times when we look what we are - a team coming together and trying to gel.''

Tottenham rebounded from back-to-back losses to beat Sunderland with Robbie Keane and Tom Huddlestone providing the goals and former striker Darren Bent missing a penalty for the visitors.

Thanks to City's result, Spurs moved up to fourth in the table.

As City slipped to sixth place, Arsenal moved into second by easing to a 4-1 victory at Wolverhampton and Aston Villa climbed to fifth by routing Bolton 5-1.
