At Stamford Bridge, Everton's battling display won them an unexpected point.
The visitors took a surprise lead on 12 minutes when Louis Saha headed a free-kick on to the inside of the post before the ball bounced back into the net off Petr Cech's shoulder.
However, the Blues were soon back on level terms when Drogba (18) netted his 17th goal of the season after being set up by Frank Lampard at the edge of the area.
Chelsea were then in front through Nicolas Anelka (23), but Everton hauled themselves level on the stroke of half-time through substitute Ayegbeni Yakubu following a goalmouth scramble.
Drogba restored the home side's lead just before the hour when he netted at the back post, only to then cause mayhem in his own penalty area when trying to help defend a free-kick.
The Ivory Coast striker headed the ball against Saha - and it looped up over Cech to give Everton a third goal on 63 minutes, which proved enough for a hard-earned point.
