Wigan Athletic 1-2 Aston Villa: Milner winning strike

Aston Villa beat host Wigan Athletic 2-1 in the Premier League continued, DW Stadium, Tuesday (16/3/2010). Even so, an additional three points were not make Villa moved from seventh rank by collecting 49 points.

The victory was quite reasonable given the appearance of a fairly militant Villa since the early minutes. In the ninth minute, Gabriel Agbonlahor header almost rattled Wigan goal. But, the ball still fails hit targets.

However, only within two minutes, Wigan managed a goal back through Gary Caldwell created. Goal was created after a successful Caldwell bait released gore Charles N'Zogbia, 1-1.

Balanced position to fight more fiercely. However, Villa still appears dominant. John Carew and Gabriel Agbonlahor continued to threaten the Wigan goal. Even so, the position remained 1-1 until the break.

Entering the second half, Villa returned to dominate. Several times seen Wigan goalkeeper, Kirkland, must fall up to save the goal. Greatness Kirkland lasted only 12 minutes after failing to hold James Milner hard shot from outside the penalty box. Milner scored make sure Villa victory.
